Raise funds to advance research into women’s health conditions that remain under-researched by supporting research organizations in Canada and internationally.
Because many conditions that affect women are still the subject of too little research.
Fondation La Femme d’Abord mobilizes its community to raise funds and donate them to organizations making a concrete contribution to advancing women’s health research in Canada and internationally.
We support organizations conducting research into women’s health conditions that still require greater scientific attention.
We raise public awareness of women’s health realities for which research remains limited.
We organize fundraisers and initiatives to support selected organizations.
The funds raised support work that helps advance research and knowledge about women’s health in Canada and internationally.
Together, let’s advance women’s health.

It all began with her own story. Like many women, Carla had never heard of diastasis recti until she experienced it herself. When she discovered how many women are affected by this condition, she realized how many women’s health realities remain far too little known.
By sharing her experience and raising awareness among women around the world, she quickly realized that diastasis is not the only condition receiving too little research. Many issues affecting women still deserve greater attention, visibility and progress.
Today, through Fondation La Femme d’Abord, Carla wants to mobilize her community to raise funds and donate them to organizations helping advance women’s health research in Canada and internationally.

Our foundation brought together nearly 100 mothers at Hilton Québec for an exclusive workshop on diastasis recti and postpartum well-being. The program featured an educational talk to better understand diastasis and its effects on the body, followed by our first on-site group workout designed for mothers in a motivating, energetic atmosphere.

Our foundation held a conference dedicated to raising awareness of diastasis recti at Auberge Godefroy. The program included educational sessions, live interactive quizzes and time for conversation, along with gifts for participants, creating an experience that was both informative and memorable.

We launched our diastasis recti awareness tour at Sheraton Laval. Participants learned through accessible explanations and live quizzes, with gifts distributed on site. Our collaboration with Shop Santé created a complete environment for information, product discovery and community support.

A workshop for visiting mothers to understand the effects of the postpartum period, recognize the signs and open the conversation.
